The Claymont Foundation, established in 1996, is a not-for-profit, tax exempt volunteer organization that provides teacher grants, student scholarships and recognizes Claymont, Uhrichsville and Dennison graduates for their achievement and commitment to their community, career and humanity.
The board is made up of Claymont, Uhrichsville and Dennison grads as well as a staff, school board and administrative representatives.
Over the years, the Claymont Foundation has awarded over $400,000 in Teacher Grants to enhance the education of Claymont students. The teachers, principals and staff apply for these grants for programs, projects or events that will encourage the students to become more interested in their education and to add to what is already provided in the classroom.
The Claymont Foundation has been able to award more than $1,100,000 in scholarships to Claymont high school seniors, Claymont students currently enrolled in college and Claymont students attending Buckeye Career Center. These scholarship donations have been made available by alumni, students, staff, community members and businesses. We are truly honored to provide an opportunity to allow students to pursue a higher education.
The Claymont Foundation is always looking for volunteers to assist with projects and programs, to provide articles for the newsletter and to nominate potential Alumni Award Winners.
The Foundation relies on the donations of alumni, the community, businesses and those interested in encouraging and enhancing the educational excellence of Claymont students.
All donations to assist with the teacher grants, the newsletter or scholarships can be sent to Claymont Foundation, P.O. Box 222, Uhrichsville, OH 44683.
